Happiness. We all need it, we all want it, we all talk about it, and we all know when we are missing it! But, do we know how to create it for ourselves and our families?

Even at the best of times  happiness can be hard to create and maintain, and with the current climate, it can be even more difficult to tap into. As mums, especially new mums, it can be even more challenging to find that inner happiness. Yes, we have our beautiful new bundle of joy ,and yes, we are now feeling fuller than we may ever have felt before; but we are also exhausted, going through massive hormonal changes, constantly worried and anxious or on high alert and on call 24 hours of every day.

So, how can we breakthrough these feelings, how can we create our own happiness internally…what truly makes us happy?

Happiness can be different things for different people! But in a time where we are limited on what we can do, where we can go, and who we can see, we are all searching for the same things!

Over the next few blogs we will be exploring something called the ‘PERMA’ model. This model consists of 5 key, scientifically proven, habits to happiness that you can build into your day to day life to create the happiness that you and your family need.

Habit 1. Positive Emotion

Habit 2. Engagement. Do what you love.

Habit 3. Better relationships.

Habit 4. Meaning. Finding purpose in life.

Habit 5. Accomplishment. Small wins matter.
