Reclaim Yourself - Retreat for Mums
One-night retreat in nature just for you mama.
Samsara Retreat, Kent. 25th - 26th September 2021
Go back to nature and enjoy a space to reconnect with yourself. Leave behind what no longer serves you and come and get back to your mummy activities feeling renewed and recharged.
A space for self-mothering
Being a parent and becoming a parent during the last 18 months has been one of the most difficult challenges for many women.
The transition into motherhood is profound and in many occasions involves contradicting feelings that bring tension into our lives. Feelings of guilt, anxiety, pain, anger, they are all normal and they are magnified by the lack of attention to our own needs. Many of us are so worried about mothering our children that we forget about mothering ourselves.
This retreat is a space for self-mothering.
We’ll share, listen, journal, move, celebrate and take part in ceremony to heal and process anything that needs processing. We will leave behind what no longer serves us and get back to ourselves feeling recharged and renewed.
You’ve been caring and looking after others for too long. It’s your turn to get some essential time to restore and get back to you.
Is this for me?
This is a retreat for real mothers who need some help to reconnect with themselves, are looking for essential me-time or simply would like to spend a day and a night away in nature with other mamas.
You don’t need any previous experience in yoga or meditation, you are here to learn and improve your wellbeing.
This retreat is open for every mother who needs some me-time, healing or emotional processing. Will be particularly useful for you if you became a mum within the last 24 months.

‘Motherhood is a monumental transformation. I believe it cracks you open and presents an opportunity to relearn yourself; to let go of old conditioning and past hurts, and become a fully-empowered, whole woman. But this process is painful, and it takes an array of tools to support and enable this growth.’

FAQs
I don’t have anyone to join me. Will I feel out of place on my own?
No way. Many women come by themselves. You will be meeting other women going through a similar journey in a safe and supporting environment. We’ve made sure there will be plenty of opportunities to connect with others and you might actually start building a new friendship.
I’ve never practised yoga or mindfulness before, will it be difficult for me to follow the sessions?
Not at all. All our sessions are designed for women with or without previous experience. All you need is to bring an open mind and curiosity to make the most out of the retreat.
How can I keep the costs down?
If you come with a friend you can share one of the double bed accommodations: The Sanctuary Suite, The Garden Room or the Stargazer for a lower cost. To do this you just book the room normally and add the “Plus one bonus”.
I'm worried about COVID. What measures are you putting in place?
We want to make sure we all stay as safe as possible. We’ll be asking all attendees to show proof of a negative NHS Lateral Flow Test taken up to 48 hours before the retreat.
Samsara Retreat is a venue with a Cottage and glamping facilities, there’s plenty of outdoor areas and lots of space. We’ll make an additional effort to keep areas well ventilated and weather permitting organise some of the activities outside. Additionally, all areas will be sanitised before your arrival and sanitising gel will be available throughout the venue.
How do I get to Samsara?
Samsara Retreat is located in Kent’s countryside. The nearest station is Tonbridge, just 35 minutes from London Bridge and then a 15 mins taxi drive to the retreat.
Are babies welcome to join?
I know it’s hard to leave the little ones behind, especially if they’ve recently started nursery and they’re experiencing some separation anxiety. However, we want to make sure you get a chance to disconnect from the mothering activities and get a real opportunity to reconnect with yourself, so babies will have to stay with dad or another designated carer.
I’m very confident this is going to be worthwhile while mama and you’ll be able to go back home feeling recharged and with more patience to parent your little ones!
